"Made in Ukraine": farmers can receive partial compensation for the cost of agricultural machinery from 44 domestic producers

Farmers can receive 25% compensation for the cost of purchased agricultural machinery from 44 Ukrainian manufacturers. The updated List of domestic machinery and equipment for the agricultural sector, the cost of which is partially compensated by budgetary funds, includes 2289 nomenclature items of products from 44 manufacturers.

The order approving the updated list of machinery was signed by the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko.

"Supporting domestic producers and their development, stimulating demand for Ukrainian products is the basis of our state policy. Through the program of compensation for the cost of agricultural machinery, we expect not only to give an impetus to the development of Ukrainian machine-building enterprises, but also to help our farmers, who will be able to become more competitive in the market by reducing the cost of fixed assets. In addition, this program will help agricultural producers to upgrade their machinery fleet and become more productive. This year, we have budgeted UAH 1 billion for the program and expect that about 4,000 farmers will benefit from the state support," said Yulia Svyrydenko, First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy.

As of today, the updated list of domestic machinery and equipment for the agricultural sector, the cost of which is partially compensated by budgetary funds, includes 2,289 nomenclature items of products of 44 Ukrainian manufacturers of agricultural machinery and equipment.

Among the items added to the list are tractors for agriculture and forestry, tillage machinery and equipment (plows, harrows, cultivators), sowing and tillage complexes, seed bins and grain storage and handling machines, machines for cleaning, sorting, calibration of seeds, grains and legumes, grain loaders, machines for applying mineral fertilizers, sprayers for chemical protection of crops, tractor trailers and dump trailers for grain transportation, equipment for keeping pigs, cattle and calves, milking cows, machinery and equipment for horticulture and berry growing, and equipment for grain drying.

As new applications from machinery and equipment manufacturers are received and reviewed, the list will be updated. In order to be included in the list, a manufacturer must submit an application and supporting documents to the Ministry of Economy. Applications for inclusion of equipment in the list in the current budget period are submitted by October 31.

To receive 25% compensation for the cost of purchased machinery or equipment, an agricultural producer must choose a supplier from the list on the Ministry of Economy's website, purchase the necessary machinery and submit an application and supporting documents to an authorized bank.
