Who can get documents abroad: explanation of the passport service
Starting April 25, men aged 18 to 60 can obtain passport documents exclusively at the State Migration Service (SMS) in Ukraine, but there are exceptions. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Facebook page of the Passport Service Center.
As the Passport Service explains, documents will not be sent to foreign branches of the state enterprise Document.
At the same time, passport documents can be obtained abroad by men specified in paragraphs 2-1-2-3 and 2-7 of the Rules for Crossing the State Border by Citizens of Ukraine, provided they have the relevant supporting documents.
These are:
- people with disabilities;
- guardians of persons with disabilities;
- parents of children with disabilities;
- persons in need of constant care;
- those who accompany seriously ill children;
- members of the Defense and Security Forces;
- victims of Russia's military aggression who have traveled abroad for treatment.
