How to report damaged housing to the International Register of Damage
Ukrainians can report damage and destruction of housing as a result of Russian aggression to the International Register of Damage using the Diia app or portal. This is stated on the Government portal.
The data from the Register will become the basis for future reparations that Russia must pay for all destruction and crimes.
The following types of housing can be reported to the Register:
- private house
- apartment
- country house
- garden house;
- other residential premises.
Currently, the service is available to Ukrainians who have a Certificate of Damaged Property from their local authorities.
Subsequently, it will be possible to submit an application to the International Register of Damage without such an act. In particular, if the property is located in the temporarily occupied territories or in the war zone.
To use the service through the Diia portal:
1. Register or log in to the portal using an electronic signature.
2. In the "Catalog of services" section, select "Application for compensation for damages" and click "Submit an application".
3. Fill out the application - confirm the data or add the necessary information.
4. Check the application and click "Submit".
