We have no good solutions left: Hetmantsev on taxes to finance the Armed Forces
Ukraine has no good solutions left to finance the Defense Forces. This was stated byDanylo Hetmantsev, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Financial, Tax and Customs Policy, at the Banking Forum organized by Ekonomichna Pravda.
"In fact, we have a catastrophic situation with spending on security and defense. We have a huge hole in the budget, and it's probably not tens of millions, it's hundreds of millions. It's hundreds of billions that we need to raise," he said.
According to him, there are no other solutions to finance the Defense Forces except taxes: de-shadowing is not enough, and the authorities are not going to turn on the printing press and devalue the hryvnia.
"In fact, we have no good solutions left. And you and I should be aware of this," he said.
