Latest news on Google tax from Getmantsev
The campaign for declaring VAT liabilities for the first half of 2024 by non-residents engaged in the supply of electronic services to individuals has recently ended.
Danylo Hetmantsev, Chairman of the Parliamentary Tax Committee, assures that the state budget has a positive result.
122 declared taxpayers have reported:
▫️56.9 million EUR
▫️68.4 million USD. USD
This is the equivalent of UAH 5.289 billion!
During the quarter, the number of Google taxpayers increased simultaneously, and the amount of charges increased by UAH 1.431 billion compared to the first half of 2023.
In the first half of 2024, 15 more taxpayers were brought to taxation, including:
▪️AYLO BILLING LIMITED and AYLO FREESITES LTD (adult entertainment services);
▪️BRIGHT MARKET, LLC (global commerce platform);
▪️APTOIDE, S.A. (game app store and distribution platform);
▪️та others.
The leaders among digital services VAT payers have not changed. The top positions are held by such global giants as:
- APPLE
- META PLATFORMS
- VALVE CORPORATION
- ETSY
They did not wait for the deadline and have already paid their declared VAT liabilities.
Therefore, we will include them among the achievements of the second quarter of this year:
