Pilot project "Ukrposhta. Pharmacy": Ukrainians will be able to receive medicines by mail

Ukrainians will be able to receive medicines by mail: a pilot project "Ukrposhta. Pharmacy" pilot project has been launched.

Ukrposhta has received a license for retail and electronic retail trade in medicines. Now medicines can be received by mail by ordering through the contact center. Delivery of medicines is free of charge.

The pilot project Ukrposhta. Pharmacy" pilot project will be launched in the de-occupied and frontline territories: in Donetsk region and in some border areas of Sumy region.

"Currently, there are about 5,700 pharmacies and pharmacy outlets in Ukrainian villages and towns. At the same time, there are still more than 20,000 villages across the country that do not have pharmacies. We are addressing this issue at various levels. The joint project "Ukrposhta. Pharmacy" is an initiative that will significantly improve people's access to medicines. All you need to do to order the medicines you need is to call Ukrposhta's contact center, which will then deliver them. We start with Donetsk region and some border districts of Sumy region. Then the pilot project will be expanded. It is very important that this way you can also get medicines under the "Affordable Medicines" program. That is, free of charge or with a partial co-payment. This will allow patients to save their money, as the program budget for this year is UAH 5.2 billion," commented Minister of Health Viktor Liashko.

Almost 10 thousand OTC medicines can be ordered through Ukrposhta. It will also sell medicines subject to reimbursement under the Affordable Medicines program: for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, for the prevention of strokes and heart attacks; for diabetes mellitus and diabetes insipidus; for the treatment of chronic diseases of the lower respiratory tract; mental and behavioral disorders, epilepsy, etc.

Currently, the program includes 515 brand names of medicines and medical devices that can be obtained with a prescription from a doctor, free of charge or with a small surcharge.

Medicines will be dispensed from the company's pharmacy and delivered to consumers at the nearest Ukrposhta branch.

After a successful launch, the company plans to expand the project to include Kharkiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, and other frontline regions. In the long run, all settlements of the country will be covered.

How to place an order?

It is easy to order medicines: call 0 800 300 545.

Follow the prompts in the voice menu to contact a specialist.

The order will be packed and sent by Ukrposhta Express. Delivery is free of charge. You can track your shipment on the website, in the mobile app, and via a chatbot in messengers. To check the correctness of the order, the contents of the parcel can be inspected upon delivery.
