The Hetmans support the BES reform

The Committee recommended that the Parliament adopt the newly revised draft law No. 10439 on amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine" to improve the work of the Bureau in the repeated first reading.

The new version of the draft Law of Ukraine on Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine" to improve the work of the Bureau (Reg. No. 10439) for the repeated first reading provides for

selection and submission to the Prime Minister of Ukraine of no more than two candidates for the position of the BES Director;
the first deadlines for independent assessments (audits) of the BES's performance (the assessment is carried out by the Commission after the first and third year in the position of the Director of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine, appointed in accordance with the procedure provided for by this Law);
the mechanism of attestation of the BES employees was finalized, the term of which may not exceed twelve months from the date of appointment to the position of the Director of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine in accordance with the procedure provided for by this Law;
The Director of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine, appointed in accordance with the procedure provided for by this Law, forms a new disciplinary commission.
