Plans to resume export control reporting

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has published the Draft Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Protection of Interests of Subjects of Submission of Reports and Other Documents During Martial Law or State of War" regarding Renewal of Reporting in the Field of State Export Control" (Draft Law).

The Draft Law is designed to ensure proper control over the end use of military and dual-use goods, Ukraine's compliance with international obligations on non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and their means of delivery, restriction of transfers of conventional weapons, and measures to prevent the use of these goods for terrorist and other illegal purposes.

The Draft Law proposes to supplement clause 1 of the Law of Ukraine "On Protection of the Interests of Entities Submitting Reports and Other Documents during Martial Law or a State of War" with a provision that would renew the obligation of entities engaged in international transfers of military and dual-use goods to submit the relevant reports provided for in Article 22 of the Law of Ukraine "On State Control over International Transfers of Military and Dual-Use Goods".
