In the territories of active hostilities, it is planned to exempt from rent for state and municipal property

This was discussed during a regular meeting on the housing rights of certain categories of IDPs chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.

During the discussions, a representative of the State Property Fund of Ukraine presented draft amendments to CMU Resolution No. 634 of May 27, 2022. In particular, they envisage exempting the following categories of persons from rent for state and municipal property for the duration of martial law

- individuals/individual entrepreneurs called up or accepted for military service;

- tenants of property located in the zone of active hostilities and in the temporarily occupied territories in accordance with the List of territories approved by the order of the Ministry of Reintegration of December 22, 2022 No. 309.

It is also proposed to set a monthly rent of UAH 1 per 1 square meter of space for dormitories equipped to accommodate IDPs for local governments and their enterprises.

The relevant draft resolution has now been sent to the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers for further consideration by the Government.

It should be noted that this draft act was developed to fulfill the tasks and measures of the Operational Plan for the implementation of the State Policy Strategy on Internal Displacement for the period up to 2025 in 2023-2025.
