The Council creates additional incentives and conditions for the work of IT companies' employees in the DiiaCity residence
The draft law No. 9319 adopted in the first reading is intended to ensure the proper functioning of the Diia City legal regime and adapt it to the conditions of martial law.
This was stated by Oleksandr Kovalchuk, MP, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy, who is a co-author and speaker of this document.
"We support Diia.City residents. These are companies that work in the field of digital technologies, which are now widely used to help our army as the war becomes more technological. With this law, we are creating additional incentives and conditions, equalizing the working conditions of IT companies' employees in the DiiaCity residence," the politician explained.
The explanatory note to the draft law states that it introduces the following changes to the so-called Diia.City law
- Improving the peculiarities of applying for the status of a Diia.City resident and the peculiarities of considering such an application;
- supplementing the peculiarities of the Diia.City register in order to bring it in line with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On Public Electronic Registers"
- clarification of the powers of the authorized body to formulate and implement state policy in the field of development and functioning of the Diia.City legal regime;
- defining additional peculiarities of the impossibility of acquiring Diia.City residency by legal entities whose direct or indirect shareholder is a resident of Russia.
