A number of NBU tariffs have been updated

The National Bank of Ukraine has revised the list of services and tariffs for them, in particular for cash services, in order to improve the quality of cash in circulation and ensure its changeability in cash payments.

Thus, the regulator has established the following differentiated service fees for banks, cash collection companies and cash handling companies

1) for the issuance of hryvnia cash:

• 0.20% of the amount of cash issued - for change, circulating coins, banknotes of lower denominations of UAH 20, 50, 100, 200 (previously the tariff was 0.40%);
• 0.40% of the amount of cash issued - banknotes of higher denominations of UAH 500 and UAH 1000 (unchanged);

2) for the surrender of circulating coins and banknotes issued in 2014 and subsequent years:

• 0.15% of the amount of cash handed in - for change, circulating coins, and banknotes of lower denominations of UAH 20, 50, 100, and 200 (previously, the tariff was 0.25%);
• 0.10% of the amount of cash deposited - for banknotes of higher denominations of UAH 500 and UAH 1000 (previously, the tariff was 0.25%);

3) zero (free) fee for depositing banknotes of 2003-2007 designs in denominations of UAH 50, 200, and 500 (including unsorted banknotes) (previously, the fee was 0.25%).

The changes to the list of services and tariffs for cash services will come into force on July 1, 2024, and the new tariffs will be effective from that date.

In addition, the NBU has revised the existing and introduced new tariffs for registration and licensing of non-banking institutions to implement the provisions of the Laws of Ukraine On Financial Services and Financial Companies, On Insurance, On Credit Unions, etc. They will be effective from May 1, 2024.
