The Ministry of Economy and European partners have launched a €480 thousand grant program for small and medium-sized businesses

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, together with the EU and the German Government, has launched a new €480,000 grant program under which 12 small and medium-sized enterprises will be able to receive funding of up to €40,000 to develop their exports and innovations and receive expert advice.

Ukrainian businesses that create products or services with a focus on export or innovation can apply for the grants.

"I am happy to see our country and business unleashing their potential. Thanks to such projects, Ukrainian companies get a chance to develop and grow, which is extremely important. External financing, whether grant or loan, can accelerate business development several times over. We must learn how to use external resources for development, and for this purpose it is important to be understandable to the foreign market, have financial statements and comply with the requirements of the law," said Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Nadiya Bihun.

The grant program is open to small and medium-sized Ukrainian businesses operating in the processing industry (food, light industry, mechanical engineering, construction, furniture manufacturing, etc.), creative industry (fashion, design, etc.), and other industries with export and innovation potential.

"Since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, EU4Business has provided almost €8 million to support SMEs in Ukraine, as we recognize that in these difficult times, companies need support more than ever to grow and innovate. With this grant program, we want to help Ukrainian businesses overcome the consequences of the war, provide access to finance, help them find new markets and improve the business environment in Ukraine," said Henrik Witfeldt, Head of Public Finance, Business Support and Social Policy at the EU Delegation to Ukraine.

The project is expected to provide 12 selected participants with a grant of up to EUR 40,000 each, as well as group and individual consultations from experts, networking sessions and other activities that will help identify and eliminate processes that "block" businesses on their way to export and innovative development. You can apply for the grant program until 23:59 on June 25, 2024 on the project website.
