The NBU implements a ban on the use of credit funds for gambling
Starting from June 22, 2024, the NBU will introduce a ban on customer payments to the accounts of gambling organizers for gambling with funds received on a loan basis.
The measure will minimize risks to the security and stability of the financial system, reduce the negative effects of online gambling, and promote consumer protection and the development of responsible consumer lending.
These changes were introduced by Resolution of the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine No. 72 "On Amendments to Resolution of the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine No. 18 dated February 24, 2022" dated June 21, 2024, which entered into force on June 22, 2024.
