The Ministry of Energy told how the abolition of time change will affect the energy sector
The Energy Ministry estimates that the abolition of time change will not have a dramatic impact on the power system, Ekonomichna Pravda reports.
This was announced by the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko.
"According to our estimates,we do not see any dramatic impact on the energy sector in terms of time," he said.
Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada supported in general the draft law on time calculation in Ukraine, which provides for the abolition of the transition from summer to winter time and vice versa.
Subsequently, the Academy of Higher Education Sciences appealed to Volodymyr Zelenskyy to veto the law abolishing daylight saving time.
According to the president of the institution, Oleksandr Nakonechnyi, this decision will increase the cost of lighting in the evening in spring, summer, and fall.
