The NBU has announced how p2p transfers to Ukrainians will be restricted
The National Bank plans to limit p2p transfers for individuals to UAH 100 thousand per month. This was reported to Ekonomichna Pravda by NBU Deputy Governor Dmytro Oliynyk.
"The limit is UAH 100 thousand per month for outgoing payments," Oliynyk told the Economic Times.
According to him, 100 thousand will not include transfers to volunteers.
"Volunteers will be treated separately. Banks will make lists on their side, they will be able to exchange them. Moreover, the largest volunteers are now identified in the bank, so we believe that the likelihood of problems will be minimal," the NBU deputy governor said.
He added that the restrictions will come into effect a month after the NBU announces them publicly. The announcement is likely to take place as early as Thursday, August 15. Accordingly, they will come into force on September 15, 2024.
