Another 25 banks have joined the memorandum on lowering transfer limits for customers without verified income
Another 25 financial institutions have joined the Memorandum on Transparency of the Payment Services Market, which provides for the fight against drop schemes and the reduction of transfer limits, Ekonomichna Pravda reports.
This is reported by the Association of Ukrainian Banks (AUB), which organized a meeting with top management of leading banks and financial companies in Ukraine, during which the participants discussed joint steps to counter criminal schemes known as "drop schemes".
The AUB said that the participants of the event drew attention to the need to combine the efforts of the banking sector to effectively counter financial crimes that undermine the stability of the economic system.
It was noted that "drop schemes" pose significant risks to both financial institutions and state security, as they are often used for tax evasion and terrorist financing.
The Memorandum on Ensuring Transparency of the Payment Services Market was joined by 23 other Ukrainian banks and 2 financial companies that are also payment systems:

We would like to remind you that according to the Memorandum, banks will not set limits on transactions of clients with confirmed sources of income (including salary clients and other clients with confirmed income), as well as volunteers identified by the payment service provider in accordance with the requirements of the NBU Board Resolution No. 18 dated 24.02.2022.
If there is no documented income, banks are obliged to set limits (applicable to transfers to IBAN details) on transactions:
► from 01.02.2025 - for "high" risk clients, to set a limit of up to UAH 50 thousand per month;
for clients of "medium" and "low" risk levels - in accordance with the limits and terms of phased implementation:
► from 01.02.2025 - in the amount of up to UAH 150 thousand per month
► from 01.06.2025 - in the amount of up to UAH 100 thousand per month.
