Which establishments can sell alcohol on tap

The choice of the type of establishment (enterprise) of the RG and the class of restaurant or bar shall be made by the business entity independently, taking into account the requirements of the legislation of Ukraine.

When arranging an establishment (enterprise) in accordance with the selected type (class), business entities in the field of restaurant business must have the necessary production, trade and household premises, as well as equipment for the preparation and sale of products.

The requirements for production, commercial and household premises of the WG establishments (enterprises), equipment, inventory, list of services, technological modes of production are established by the legislation of Ukraine (clause 1.6 of the Regulation No. 219).

A sign indicating its type/class/name, the name of the business entity and the mode of operation must be placed on the facade of the premises of the RH establishment (enterprise) (clause 1.7 of the Rules No. 219).

Thus, only a retail establishment (enterprise) or a specialized department that has the status of a catering business entity, a business entity with a universal range of goods, provided that it has a license for retail sale of alcoholic beverages and registered types of economic activity under the NACE 2010 classification codes 56.10 - 56.30, regardless of whether the name contains the words "cafe", "bar" or "restaurant", is entitled to sell alcoholic beverages on tap.
