Hetmantsev tells when cryptocurrency may be legalized in Ukraine

The head of the Verkhovna Rada's Tax Committee, Danylo Hetmantsev, said he would do everything possible to ensure that a bill to legalize cryptocurrencies is passed in Ukraine by early summer, Ekonomichna Pravda reports.

He said this during the New Economy event organized by the EP and Mezha.

Thus, the MP said that the first reading of the draft law on cryptocurrency legalization should take place in the first quarter, and the second - immediately after the first vote in the Rada.

"We will do our best to have this law adopted at least by the summer of this year," he said.

He added that there will be no preferential taxation for cryptocurrencies.
