State Customs Service introduces artificial intelligence to simplify customs clearance of cars

The State Customs Service of Ukraine continues to pursue digitalization and innovation for the convenience of citizens and businesses. The Service is actively using artificial intelligence not only to improve efficiency, but also to develop modern services that simplify customs procedures.

One of these innovations was the update of the section "Importation of a passenger car " in the Personal Account on the Single Window for International Trade portal. From now on, the customs declaration can be prepared even easier and faster thanks to two key improvements:

► Recognition of vehicle characteristics by VIN - just enter the VIN and the system will automatically try to find the vehicle's technical data.

► Automatic filling of some of the declaration columns based on a photo of the technical passport - just upload an image of the document and artificial intelligence will read all possible vehicle characteristics contained in the technical passport. The system will offer the rest of the data based on the VIN.

The State Customs Service continues to simplify bureaucratic procedures, making customs clearance convenient, fast and technologically advanced. Digitalization is not just a trend, but real steps to reduce the time and effort of citizens in customs formalities.
