The Government has prepared a draft law "On Consumer Lending"

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, as the subject of the legislative initiative, registered it in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine:

The Draft Law "On Amendments to Clause 6-2 of Section IV "Final and Transitional Provisions" of the Law of Ukraine "On Consumer Lending" (Reg. No. 13033).

The draft law is aimed at recognizing war veterans as a protected category within the meaning of clause 6-2 of section IV "Final and Transitional Provisions" of the Law of Ukraine "On Consumer Lending" to provide additional social guarantees in the field of credit obligations and to clarify the grounds for recognizing certain other persons as protected categories.

The Draft Law proposes to amend clause 6-2 of Section IV "Final and Transitional Provisions" of the Law of Ukraine "On Consumer Lending" by which:

► to restate the fourth paragraph in a new wording that would include servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other military formations and special purpose law enforcement agencies established in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, state special purpose agencies with law enforcement functions, the intelligence agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the intelligence agency of the central executive body implementing the state policy in the field of state border protection, the State Service for Special Communications and Protection in the protected category and

► to recognize servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, police officers, rank-and-file and senior officers of the Civil Protection Service and other military formations and special purpose law enforcement agencies established in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, state special purpose agencies with law enforcement functions, the intelligence agency of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the intelligence agency of the central executive body implementing the state policy in the field of state border protection, the State Service for Special Communications and

► define the types of supporting documents for the above-mentioned protected categories of persons;

► to designate the Ministry of Veterans as the body to which the creditor has the right to apply for confirmation of information on the consumer's membership in the protected category of war veterans.
