Discussion of amendments to the Regulation on Determining Persons Related to a Credit Union begins

The National Bank of Ukraine has published for discussion draft amendments to the Regulation on Determining Persons Related to a Credit Union (hereinafter - the Draft).

The Draft has been developed in connection with the adoption of the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Improving the Functions of the National Bank of Ukraine on State Regulation of Financial Services Markets".

Key innovations:

• clarification of the list of persons related to a credit union;
• updating the procedure for the National Bank to recognize a person as a person related to a credit union and the procedure for consideration of relevant issues by the Supervisory Committee;
• detailing the procedure for considering an application for determining a person not affiliated with a credit union;
• exchange of information on these issues, etc.
