Internet will work in every state institution during blackouts - the Government has adopted a resolution

Work in public institutions should not stop even during blackouts. The government has approved clear technical requirements that government agencies will set when they tender for Internet services from providers.

Each ASC, hospital and any municipal institution must provide employees and visitors with uninterrupted access to the Internet during blackouts.

What is changing?

1. Providers will have to provide government agencies with internet that works smoothly during blackouts.
2. The speed of the Internet will depend on the number of employees and visitors to the organization:

▪️ up to 20 users - at least 100 Mbps

▪️ 20-100 users - 500 Mbps

▪️ more than 100 users - 1 Gbps.

3. Institutions with 100+ people should sign a contract with two providers to have a backup Internet connection in case of emergency.
4. Open Wi-Fi zones will be deployed in each institution in the waiting and service areas. This way, Ukrainians will be able to use the stable Internet if it goes down at home.

The government agencies will conclude tenders with new terms and conditions after the expiration of existing contracts.
