The Ministry of Justice once again postpones fines for false data on beneficiaries
As a reminder, the Order of the Ministry of Justice dated 12.07.2023 No. 2542/5 was to enter into force on April 1, 2024. The Order approved the procedure for notifying the Ministry of Justice as the holder of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Public Organizations of discrepancies between the information on the ultimate beneficial owners and/or ownership structure of a legal entity received by the subject of initial financial monitoring as a result of due diligence and the information on the ultimate beneficial owners and/or ownership structure of a legal entity placed in the Unified State Register.

However, on the eve of the date of entry into force of this document, the Ministry of Justice, by Order No. 727/5 dated 18.03.2024, once again postponed the entry into force of Order No. 2542/5.
Prior to that, the start date of the penalty was postponed from October 1 to December 1 by Order of the Ministry of Justice No. 3445/5 dated September 27, 2023, and from December 1, 2023, to April 1, 2024, by Order of the Ministry of Justice No. 4101/5 dated November 29, 2023.
Thus, Order of the Ministry of Justice No. 727/5 postponed the effective date of Order of the Ministry of Justice No. 2542/5 dated 12.07.2023 from April 1, 2024 to September 1, 2024 .
